Leightyn honestly didn’t know how to feel about the current situation as all of her suspicions were ultimately becoming a reality as she witnessed her ex move on with the female that had caused her to question everything in the first place two weeks after their breakup. She really didn’t want to face them, but they were at her place to pick up the last of their things and she didn’t trust them enough to let them in without her being there. The femme was at the point of not really caring about how she expressed herself though, which is why the words escaped her lips without a care in the world. “It took you two weeks to go off and date her. Guess you didn’t cheat, but you’re still a traitor,” Leightyn stated as she peered at them.

Leightyn had no clue as to how this happened. Well, she did, but she thought they had been more careful. A nervous sigh escaped her lips as she glanced up at Caspian while her fingers fidgeted in front of her. “So, um, there’s a minor issue, sort of,” she stammered as she cleared her throat and glanced down at the ground beneath her. Leightyn was nervous to tell him because she didn’t want to lose him or for him to be mad at her. “I’m sort of pregnant,” she muttered and peeked up at him through her eyelashes.

One. Two. Three. It had been three times that the waiter asked if Leightyn was ready to order, and every time she politely declined and apologized that her boyfriend was taking so long. She glanced around the restaurant as the other customers were sneaking glances her way and offering her sympathetic looks that made her want to curl up in a ball and cry. Leightyn allowed a defeated sigh to escape her parted lips as she tried focusing on the menu in front of her, but was too busy checking her phone every five seconds to see if Kevin had texted her back or not. She felt tears begin to well up in her eyes as she took a deep breath and began to gather her belongings as she was about to get up and leave.
