It wasn’t often Theo made plans after work. With Evan’s schedule being so unpredictable, he liked to spend the evenings at home. More often than not his boyfriend showed up without warning and on the few occasions he had returned home to find him waiting, the guilt had weighed heavily on his chest. He needed to be there for him, and if that meant sometimes cancelling plans or not agreeing to them in the first place, then he was more than willing to make that sacrifice. Tonight though, he knew there was an event his boyfriend was expected to attend which meant he was entirely free to spend his time outside of his small apartment. It was why he found himself heading to the Leaky Cauldron. He missed his closest friend more than anything, and though Reg knew there were certain things happening in his life that he couldn’t talk about, he was very aware of the fact that, by best friend standards, he wasn’t paying him the attention he deserved. Reg was only being polite in not pointing that out. So, in an attempt to make up for two weeks with no contact, he wandered to the bar and waited for the barkeep to notice him. The moment he made eye contact he offered a sheepish smile, sliding a cupcake from a nearby bakery across the counter. The frosting was visible through the plastic window on top of the box. The words ‘forgive me’ sparkled softly, enchanted icing glowing in the lamplight. @regcattermole
