Kate gently tapped her knuckles against the front door. As she waited for the come in, the brunette glanced around her surroundings and when she heard his voice, she pushed the door open and walked into the office, shutting the door behind her. “Hey. I just came to see how your trip was.” She walked over to the chair across from him, putting her hands on the back of the seat. “I gotta say it’s good to see you back.”

Letter to Rocco

Dear Rocco, 

I’m terribly sorry to hear about your mother, and even sorrier than you were denied the family you deserved. 

I’ve been informed of the situation we currently find ourselves in and would like to propose a way forward.

I don’t want you to take my silence on this matter as a slight against you. 

I’m sorry if he’s not making you feel as loved as you deserve to feel.

I have recently been made aware of the situation regarding you and my husband. Please find enclosed a check which should cover 20 years of missed child support payments, plus extra for any other costs you might have incurred. 

I hope you can forgive our tardiness with this, as we were only made aware of your existence over the weekend. I would appreciate if you would give us some time to tell our children of this new development, as it is a delicate subject that will require careful handling.
