Zoya groaned loudly at her phone. "Why do I even try," she said when she saw another dud on the dating app. "How do you ever meet someone organically anymore? Also why do men think it's hot to do a picture of them in front of a gym mirror, flexing."

Zoya held out some sparkling grape juice to Mini, one for herself in her other hand. "I thought I'd better get some before they're all out. I swear, they always stock up on champagne but never something non-alcoholic as much, wasn't sure if you were drinking tonight or anything, so I kept it safe."

Once Zoya was released, she went searching for her best friend, hearing that she was hurt. When she entered the room, she gave a small smile. "Hey buddy," she said softly.

Zoya would be lying if she said she wasn't thinking of her own failed wedding, she thought about it every time she worked a wedding. "Okay, please tell me the vibes," she asked her best friend, slightly doubting her event planning abilities, although she has always gotten good results in events that weren't her own. "Is everyone enjoying themselves? Alex and Mariza seem happy, right?"
