Emergency lights! Oh, no. No, that was never good. After a great big crash as well-- The Doctor shifted, pulling himself up carefully, briefly, eyes firmly on the central console. He was quiet for a moment; briefly thankful that Clara had hopped out a few minutes ago; after what they had just experienced, well. Another adventure was definitely off the list with her. There was a small beeping sound, and he stole a glance over, before finally moving around the TARDIS to try and figure out where the hell he was.
...To no avail. Even the screens were off. As customary, he started tapping random buttons, trying to find the one that worked--
“Come on, tell me something. Anything! Tell me the colour of the sky, or what peanuts taste like. I’ll take just about anything right now--” He ended with a slam of his hands down, and after a few seconds of internal debate, he simply shrugged. “The old fashioned way, then, is it?”
The texture of-- well, the universe, seemed off. The moment he walked outside, he could sense that something was very... very wrong. He had landed just outside of an old town, on an unfamiliar desert-like planet. Not Earth, but not super alien to him, either. Pulling the doors to the TARDIS closed behind him, he adjusted himself uncomfortably. Best way to figure out what was going on was, well, by asking! So, off he began towards the town.
