Send me a ❖ for my character’s personal thoughts about yours
;(Our characters haven’t actually interacted yet, so I don’t want to make assumptions here in case they turn out to be untrue. But they’re not first years so they’ve likely spent some years together and I don’t want to go into it expecting some sort of clean slate to build off, so just from what I understand about your character from her interactions with others and her bio, I think Remus would find her equal parts admirable and intimidating, and a little cold. But they both share a love of books and he’s less likely to make a snap judgement on people’s characters just due to their blood or house or family like some wizards. I think they might actually get along, in the right space. We definitely should thread together and find out.
Sorry this is an OOC response but I don’t want to make up an answer that doesn’t actually align IC for the purposes of a meme.)
Send me a ♙ for what my character originally thought your character’s name was before learning their actual name, and why
Remus had learned as a boy that names in wizarding society were more outlandish and strange than muggle ones. It was not commonplace in contemporary muggle Wales, for instance, to meet someone with a name straight out of Roman myth, or a whole family named after stars. Brought up in almost total seclusion, with only books and his parents for company, he was raised to be polite and open-minded and not to judge anyone on first sight, be it by name or appearance or blood status.
But he had not seen many twins before, and when he’d caught sight of the Carrows in the Great Hall during the sorting, he couldn’t help but dub them silently after the infamous brother and sister pair from one of his favorite muggle fairytales: Hansel and Gretel. Fair haired with strong jawlines and sharp cheekbones, they were like woodcuttings come to life themselves, and the names stuck in memory even after the sorting hat had named them properly.
