gabriela was trying hard to compose herself and to not let he ranger get the better of her when she saw lili in the crowd of guests at jamie's gallery event. since the revelation in her office of her three closest people selecting to withhold key information from her, she felt non-stop searing irritation in her veins.

nick and atticus had felt her wrath, it was lili's turn.

approaching the bodyguard, she ignored the conversation she was interrupting, her eyes locked on lili "we need to talk. now" it wasn't a request, it wasn't up for discussion. gabriela didn't wait for any protests, she walked off to a space secluded from the party to avoid making a scene for jamie's sake.

"do you want to explain yourself or are you going to withhold that information from me as well?"

“You know what?” The blonde said, trying to get his attention. “I’m going to this wedding tomorrow, my cousin is getting married. And she insists that I bring a date or else she will hook me up with one of her sleezy friends. And I tried to say ‘no thank’ you but she wouldn’t hear me. So I need a date asap, so what do you say?” Lili’s strategy to make him say yes was to ramble as much as she could that he would just say yes to make her stop talking.

The sun was shining on her pale skin as she walked through the forest, it wasn’t often she was allowed to go by herself. Her mother and father wanted her to have someone with her at all times, but lucky she sneaked out without them knowing. It was a beautiful day and she could feel the fresh air run through her lungs. Lili reached a field full of wildflowers, and she started picking one flower after the other. 

Her white dress was flowing in the wind as she was making her bouquet of flowers. Far far away she saw a figure but she couldn’t tell who it was. It was unusual for her to meet people along the route she was taking.

With her husband by her side, she entered the club. It was their favorite place to be at and they came their a couple of times a week, when he was not busy working of course. Lili was in her her favorite black dress which had patterns made out of sequins, and her hair was curled and brought to one side. The blonde glanced around the room to see their crowd sitting by their usual table, and she saw her. It made her heart jump to see her, all kinds of feelings rushing through her body. “Get me a drink, won’t you baby?” Lili asked her husband with a bright smile. He agreed and went over to the bar while she kept on walking. “I think there will be a lot of people coming tonight, they have that new singer coming tonight.” She sat down next to her, acting just like a friend.

It had been a hard year for her for many reasons, but now it was Christmas and she could finally take a breath and relax. Being around her family all the time and the Christmas spirit made her happy. Her small apartment was decorated to the max but she liked it. She wouldn’t have it any other way. The snow was falling outside her window, she was just laying on the couch doing nothing. Some bad Christmas movie was playing on tv but she didn’t pay much attention to it. Suddenly she heard a knock on her door. It surprised her, her family wouldn’t visit until tomorrow. She rose from the sofa and rushed over to open the door. 

It was like she was in a dream when she saw him outside. Without thinking she just opened her mouth, “What are you doing here?” Lili didn’t realize how weird it sounded so she then let out a soft sigh. “I mean... Hello. What are you doing here?” It had been hard for her when he left her to give his career a real shot. It broke her heart, but she didn’t blame him for leaving.

“Don’t you ever get tired of this town?” Many times she had dreams about running away from the small town and just start over. Do something else with life. But Lili never got herself to move away, once a small town girl always a small town girl. “You know, to do something else?”

now she was standing there, outside of her friends door. she had just gone through a breakup and she needed some time with her friend. if she would’ve just stayed home, then the whole thing would’ve just fucked with her head. the blonde knocked on the door and waited for the other to open. the breakup had been messy, a lot of screaming and a lot of mean words. but suddenly the door opened and she begun to talk, “sorry i probably should’ve given you heads up that i was coming....”
