Evan had checked in, threw his luggage in his suite, and was now already camped out at the pool, sipping something cold and pretending he wasn’t absolutely people‑watching. When Jenna walked by, he lifted his brows.
“Well, well… look who it is.” A grin spread over the mans face, then he nudged the empty chair beside him with his foot. “You’re not just walking past me, right? I was just about to call someone over to order another drink.” // @jennaotrortega
As soon as she was finished unpacking, Jenna decided she needed to take a dip in the resort pool. The weather was too nice to waste locked in her suite. She threw on a simple swimsuit and a sheer cover-up before making her way out to the pool.
She felt so focused on the water of the pool until she heard a familiar voice. She spun around, smiling at Evan when he offered a seat, which she accepted. "I was about to, but a drink sounds refreshing after that plane ride," she admitted, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear. "Have you managed to settle in already?"
Free time feels non-existent lately. I'm grateful, but I also need a nap. // @liliotr
Aw, babes. I'm acting. I'm a great pretender. I don't have it all together at all, but who really does? We're all just trying to survive, right? And you'd make an incredible mama if you ever decided that you wanted to be one.
No one really does, but it's impressive to give the impression that you do. Thank you. I don't know if or when, but I just hope it's not too soon if it's meant to be. I'm way too focused on work right now.
Haha, no! You don’t sound like too much of a fangirl. If anything, I’m right there with you. I swear half the time I still feel like I snuck onto that set and no one noticed. And honestly? I get what you mean about wishing you were there from the beginning. Because same. You seriously are killing it and you'd fit right in with the cast. Now who's the fangirl? Working with Jessica and Sarah… it was fantastic. They’re just on another level. Like, you think you know what good acting looks like, and then you watch them do a scene and suddenly you’re questioning every choice you’ve ever made in your life.
Imposter syndrome is something I feel like every other day. You're giving me butterflies, Mr. Evans. If I say stop, I actually mean please keep going. That was how I felt watching you in the Dahmer story. I mean, bringing a person like that to life the way you did— I can't imagine how challenging that must have been, because you also seem like such a cool person who would never harm a fly.
God, I feel that. Sitting on projects you’re dying to talk about but can’t yet? It’s torture in the most exciting way. Like holding onto a secret you know is going to blow people’s minds. What inspires me most… honestly, it’s people. The weird, messy, complicated stuff we all carry around. I’m drawn to characters who feel like they’re walking around with a storm inside them. Something unresolved, something they’re trying to outrun or understand. I love roles that let me explore that kind of emotional tension. And I’m obsessed with atmosphere. If a script makes me feel something in my chest, dread, longing, that electric little spark, I’m in. I chase that feeling more than anything. I imagine you do something similar.
Honestly, I love keeping the projects I'm looking forward to the most as much of a secret as I can. It's really fun to surprise people. I definitely agree with that. Aside from selecting interesting characters, I also like to pick diverse projects that give me opportunities to work with people I've admired now and in the past. There are still so many people I hope to work with someday.
Oddly enough, I saw a post about it on Instagram and I was intrigued. I used to do aerial silks and it's not as easy to do three kids later so this kind of took over.
And the way you still look so amazing after three whole kids. That's so great, and I'm not having kids anytime soon, but you seem like an amazing woman. Sorry if I'm gushing. I just really respect people who have been in the industry before me and know how to navigate family and personal lives.
Absolutely! They do a lot of nostalgic playlists and it's a party. It's so much fun. More workout classes should take note of this.
It totally seems like an underrated art. How did you come about it?
I decided to try a different type of workout and it's one of the best things I've ever discovered. It's a bungee workout and it literally feels like you're flying with the most epic music in the background. I wanna take all my girls and make it a girls night, it's the most fun workout I've ever done. Feel free to call me supermom because I sure feel like it. @otrrpstarters
Can I be one of your girls? It sounds like so much fun, especially in a group.
AHS is back, baby! we're working on season thirteen and it’s the usual murphy chaos. jessica’s back, sarah’s back, angela’s back… it feels like someone hit the nostalgia switch and broke it off. it’s weird in that full‑circle kind of way because this is the final season, but also kind of nice having the old crew together again. makes the late filming nights feel less brutal. \\ @otrrpstarters
god, i hope i don't sound like too much of a fangirl... but i wish i could've been born a decade sooner so maybe i could have been there from the beginning. working with jessica lange and sarah paulson seems so fantastic. i mean, everyone was great, but i don't need to tell you that.
okay, i have to tell you, life has actually been really good lately. i went to that fashion trust u.s. awards thingy. honestly one of the best nights i’ve had in a long time. great people, great energy, and i actually loved what I wore for once. It felt like everything just… clicked. and between that, a few fun press things, and some new projects lining up, i feel like i’m finally in one of those seasons where everything is moving in the right direction. what about you? anything good happening in your world? // @otrrpstarters
i definitely get that. i have a couple of projects that i'm looking forward to sharing, but you know how it is, i can't just yet. you know, i have to ask because i think you pick such great roles, but what inspires you most?
