“I will definitely try, trust me I don’t plan on ending up here again anytime soon.” Colt grinned back at her. “Well that’s good because I like being loony with you Briony” He shrugged “No it’s not really, but they’ve always been like that. Super obsessed with blood purity and all that stuff. You get used to it after a while. Thanks I hope so too but I’m not counting on it. They’re so purist that they almost disowned me just for being sorted into Hufflepuff.” He listened to her, smiling once again. “They sound really awesome! That’s really cool, it’s awesome that you all have something you can do together.”

“Good, I’m glad.” She laughed and then nodded slightly as she listened. A look of horror crossed her face when he told her about almost being disowned. “But that’s ridiculous! There’s nothing wrong with being in Hufflepuff.” She frowned and then an idea popped into her mind. “You know, if you’re ever feeling not so happy to be home during a break, I doubt my parents would mind another person to join us. Actually they’d probably encourage it. I-I’m not saying you’re not happy at home, I’m sure your home is lovely, but just in case… Yeah.”

Colt shrugged again “I know it’s not but they always go on and on about how it’s not a proper pureblood house or something. I think they somehow think being in Hufflepuff makes someone less of a person but I’ve just sort of learned to ignore it. I think I’m in the best house for me and I wouldn’t change it for a second. I think that’s much more important than whatever prejudices they hold you know?” Colt smiled and couldn’t help but laugh lightly as she rambled. “I’d like that sometime, as long as you’re sure your parents wouldn’t mind some boy they don’t even know staying with you.” He chuckled “Thanks Briony, I really do appreciate the offer, I’ll have to remember it next time we have a break.”

Briony shook her head, confused as to how someone could think like that. The thought that they decided Hogwarts houses weren’t equal made no sense to her. She nodded when he explained how he felt about Hufflepuff. “I agree. It’s what you think that matters most, not what anyone else thinks. Though I’m glad you wouldn’t want to change, we’d miss you.” She blushed a bit when he laughed, thinking for a moment he was laughing at her suggestion. But a grin crossed her face when she actually listened to his response. “Yeah? Oh! No, they wouldn’t mind at all. I mean, they might if you were impolite, which you are obviously not.  I could ask to make sure, if you want me to. It’d be fun.”

Colt smiled as he saw his Briony. It was great to see her, he had been so busy preparing for the game that he hadn’t been hanging around as much and hadn’t gotten to see her lately. When he saw how upset she was he immediately gestured to his good side. “Aww come here” He said reaching with that arm to give her a half hug. “I’m Sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you.” He said softly. “I’ll be okay, it hurts quite a bit but I’ll be better soon I promise. Hey it leaves me with quite a story that’s for sure.” He smiled warmly at her. “How have you been though? It’s been a while hasn’t it?”

Briony hugged him as tightly as she dared to, for fear of causing him any more pain. When she pulled back, she scooted her chair as close to the bed as she could and shook her head gently. “No, it’s not your fault, you shouldn’t apologize. It’s the game; it’s fun to watch, and I bet to play, but it’s just so… violent.” She replied just as softly, looking down at her hands. Then she glanced up at him and continued, “You played amazingly, though. It was so cool to watch.” She couldn’t help but smile back at him and said, “If you promise… Okay. I’ve been great. It has been a while, way too long actually. I never got the chance to ask, how was your break?”
