Regulus shook his head at his older cousin, his eyes not moving from the ground. "I can't do this anymore Cissy, I thought it's what I wanted to do but I don't agree. I wanted to please mother and father but I can't do this." He cried out.

The last thing Regulus remembered was telling Kreacher to leave as he got pulled in under the water, believing his death had come but he was content knowing that he could have helped in destroying Voldemort.

Ringing ran through his ears as he let out a groan. A dull stream of light coming through the old ragged curtains lay in his face causing him to blink awake. A familiar room surrounded him; his bedroom. Was it a dream? Or was he in Hell, living in his worst nightmare over and over again.

He tried to push himself up but his body ached and it just caused him to collapse back on his bed.

"Kreacher." He yelled out, hoping the elf could hear him. He needed something to help with the pain.

"Go get out of here." The young black told Kretcher. He knew this would be his last moments alive and as long as that locket was far away from here, his job was done.

The inferi were now upon him, his body dragging under the water and for what he believed would be his last breath.

Soon he awoke, weaken on soft tan coloured sand. He had no strength to push himself up so he just laid there. How long had it been. Minutes? Hours? Days? Did Kretcher get away? All these questions wandered through his head as he laid looking up at the sun.

Everyone believed the young boy to be dead but instead he wash up a shore not to far away with no memories of who he was or what he was doing there.

Some people found him and he was sent to the nearest muggle Hospital to help with any injuries he may have before being sent to a halfway house to help get him back on his feet.

Regulus was home alone when he glanced out the window to see a familiar car drive passed. He thought maybe it was just a coincidence until the car passed by slowing 5 more times.

The young man closed all the curtains and locked the doors before rushing to the bedroom and diving under the blankets. His breathing was shallow and he began to freak out tears forming in his eyes as he shut them tight.

They couldn't have found him, the couldn't have.

Regulus had gone to take a sip of his own drink when he heard those words come from the others mouth. He had frozen as the cup was inches away from his lips, a red tinge spreading across his cheeks. "You're just saying that." He muttered, not believing that the handsome man in front of him could find him any way attractive.

One whole year. Regulus didn't believe when he met the older man at the bar, that they would have been together for that long.

He was happy, he was finally living the life he wanted to, he wasn't being controlled by his parents.

He wanted to do something special for Victor, the man that had made his life better. He was out collecting ingredients for a special homecooked dinner when he passed by a restaurant, freezing as he looked in and saw Victor with another male. He wouldn't have paid attention to it, thinking it was just a friendly get together but the way the man was basically all over his partner and that Victor wasn't doing anything about it, broke the young man.

With one final look, he turned away forgetting about the food he was to buy and went back home. Tears streaming down his face realising everything they had was a lie.
