Today was one of those days where everything felt like a really bad dream. He’d been getting looks all day and was completely unsure of what was going on until lunch time rolled around and one of his friends corned him telling him it was ‘totally cool that you’re into guys, man.’ A panicked interrogation revealed that somehow everyone was under the impression that he and one of his friends, Emanon, were dating. He quickly chased down the boy in question, grabbing his shoulder and giving him a wide-eyed expression. “Dude, why does the entire school think we’re dating?”

He felt incredibly selfish and a fair amount of shame for being so needy for the girl’s company tonight. The fact that she was willing to give up a night of hunting to stay with him made his chest squeeze painfully. “Are you sure?”
