Gen couldn’t help but smirk when the blonde walked by. Finally someone interesting was in the premises. She picked up her Snapple bottle and approached the other. “Sorry for interrupting but could you help me open this?”

Blair wasn't an easy person. She knew it, her friends knew it, everybody knew it -- but she had never pretended to be. Having high standards and knowing she deserved the best only wasn't a bad thing, and she refused to think so. As an heiress and future businesswoman, Blair had always been clear about her intentions -- to be the best always, without caring who or what was in her way. And so when she had lost Serena, the one she had considered a sister, Blair had promised herself to never trust on anyone in such way. That was, of course, until Veronica walked into her life.
Soulmates weren't men, no. Who needed them anyway? They were a bother, a distraction, and she couldn't afford that. But friends? Those who were with her, even when things got difficult, those were the one she considered soulmates. Serena had been that for her, but she didn't wish to dwell on the pain that came with her leaving. When she had met Veronica, Blair hadn't given her much of a thought, until the girl had proved herself to be very smart -- she wasn’t like everyone else who wanted please Blair and then go to talk behind her back. Veronica was different and she liked that.
It was nice to see that at least one person in her life was genuine, and it was something she appreciated more than she was willing to admit. She had a reputation to uphold, after all. Her hand reached for her iced tea. After a long class, she simply wanted to stay there and relax before she had to go home. "I've been thinking about getting my own place." She had lived with her mother and Cyrus for too long, and she was in college now. Perhaps it was about time to become a bit more independent.

Half past midnight at the detective sector of the LPD, and a lone light remained–– one was left standing, Adrian thought, and it was no secret who it was. After taking time off to move, hours had elongated for Officer O’Hara, part by his own volition, part the politics of the police department that would work against him as long as he was around. He didn’t mind. Meant more money for Idris’ treatment and the tests to be ordered at the end of this round of chemo. So, as it were, the raven male was typically there the earliest and the last to go... Apart from one.
“Two espresso shots are in there for you,” Adrian murmured as he placed down the coffee, voice fogged with faint exhaustion, yet the pair of lidded hazel eyes mirrored the small, winsome smile that had coveted his mouth, as they casted down to the scribing blonde. Where the devil worked hard, Veronica Spencer worked harder, and he had a feeling– no, a name, as to why. Nicholas Martinelli, “Figured you’d be here awhile... ––figured you could use it.”

“Don’t hold this against me.” Luna said as she walked over to her grabbed her and pressed their lips together.”
