Feels good to be home, can’t wait for y’all to hear the shit I’m working on 🗣
Mixtape coming next month! Got some shit in the works with some of y’all favorite New York rappers! Got a visual for Don’t Change coming next week, Be on the look out! 🗣🗣
Kerri Chandler - Sunday Sunlight
A classic reissue from Apollonia of the Kerri Chandler track first heard on his Night Moves EP, Kerri glides through nine minutes of swaying house layered with a bassline that's catchy in its stylish simplicity. Remix duty comes from Delano Smith who retains the original tracks structure and groove whilst adding a more ambient vibe.
Soulfiction/ Missing Linkx - Full Swing
Another in the reissue catalog for this week, full swing provides a wonderful mix of heavy bass with much softer, groovier jazz elements to create a track suited for both big rooms clubs and smaller more intimate spaces. Side B’s Lovin’ Dubbin’ Feelin’ is far more eerie than the title track, creating a piece of music that, thanks to a rather esoteric sample, feels far more intrusive than its predecessor.
C Love - Gator Boots Vol. 5
Gator boots as a series of Ep’s appears founded around an idea that there is potential within many of musics classic songs for dance music to be unlocked, and the 5th edition of the series carries on from in this style. All three cuts from the EP are smooth and incredibly sexy, with Areatha Franklin edit ‘Say a Little’ proving the more obvious dance track of the bunch, whilst ‘House of the Rizing Sun’ wouldn’t at all sound out of place as the next Bond Theme. Final track Oh She-Love provides the most seductive track of the three, turning the original from a euphoric cry of love into a darker, seedier tail of lust.
Tae Wan (태완) - History (히스토리) (feat. San E (산이))
Another “fuck my haters” song. M.I.B did it, Swing did it, fuck did they ALL did it? :x And of course San E is not far in that case. Not bad but soooooo predictable.
From YT: “Taewan is releasing a new album ‘As I Am’ after 8 years of break. The first song to be revealed is ‘History’. It is a strong R&B hip-hop track, featuring Taewan’s past stories and future goals. Taewan participated in producing, composing, and writing the lyrics. The hottest rapper, San E, featured with his colorful, unique rap, bringing the level up a notch. The masterful music video was produced by Zany Bros’ Lim Sukjin. Taewan’s mini-album ‘As I Am’ and its track ‘History’ shows how Taewan is happy to be back, doing the music he likes. Like San E’s rap says, Taewan will finally be able to write new history with brand new music, just as Verbal Jint, Bumkey, San E and Swings have done.”
