Delilah had found herself only coming after her coworkers suggested it as a way to meet people, even arriving early to hang with her fellow Surgical Residence. She was disappointed to find that none of them seemed like they were making an appearance. At least not yet, making her feeling a bit discouraged. 'Now I know why they insisted I come. If I weren't here...the medical center would have no exposure. Good thing I chose to remain on call...Maybe I'll get surgery and get out of this place.' She thought as she walked amongst the people. She felt out of place, almost like she didn't belong cause she didn't know anyone.
She found herself automatically drawn to the open bar, asking for vodka in hopes she could calm her nerves. But of course, as she was about to turn from the bar to walk away, someone brushed against her back, making her almost spill her drink on herself. Thankfully, she caught the glass, only for the liquid to pour onto the ground due to the, now, upside-down glass. She sighed in defeat for a moment, until the man spoke up. She looked back to see his intricate mask, feeling even more out of place, her expression dropping for a second, as she was reminded of how simple she looked. "It's alright. Accidents happen. I guess I just wasn't meant to have liquid courage."
She joked, trying to lighten the mood as she held onto the empty glass, her voice soft as she spoke. "Trust me, you'd have to do a lot more than just tap me on the back to hurt me. I might be small, but I'm stronger than I look." She said with a smile, stepping aside slightly to give him access to the open bar.
