Harry had been slowly adjusting to having a parental figure. It had been... Interesting. Especially while he was at school and trying to navigate being a teenager as well. The whole writing home thing was awkward too, but he tried. It was hardly his fault that his letters ended up being more about how aggravating and suspicious and out of character and confusing Malfoy was being--that was what he was thinking about so that was what he should tell his mother, right? He wasn't at all prepared for her response.
