Steve knew tony wasn’t into more than just the usual stuff when it was just them. Kissing. Holding hands. Cuddling. Steve didn’t mind at all. He didn’t find it a hardship when he loved tony enough to love everything about him. And besides, Steve liked kissing. Especially when it meant seeing tony in just their underwear after Steve came home from hobnobbing at a veterans gala. He snatched up his partner and lifted them for a more optimal angle before kissing them desperately. Eager to just spend the next few hours being theirs.

Tony shrieked, when Steve lifted them unexpectedly, but then there was kissing, and that was plenty of distraction. Definitely a very good start which had them relaxing and sliding their arms around Steve just to feel the expensive fabrics they'd picked out and to hold him for a second. Then, he remembered the plan and pushed Steve's fancy jacket to the floor. "Hey, handsome. Have fun?"

“It’s more fun when you’re there,” Steve grinned as tony shoved his coat away and let the fabric pool on the floor. The wrinkles and grime could be future Steve’s problem for once. He leaned in to kiss tony again before grinning as he lifted his hands to begin fussing with his cuff links. Trying not to just tear them off, “I’d rather be in your bed or your lab with you.”

Tony immediately batted his hands away, taking over removing the cufflinks so they could throw Steve's shirt across the room away from them. "Rather be in my bed, huh? I mean, we can do that now." They smiled and wrapped an arm around his neck to pull him down closer.

[[ Kay, in light of something Ben said earlier today about people just ignoring previous relationships that conflict with their gay headcanons, I wanted to elaborate a bit more publicly about Phil and his canon relationships with women.

Phil Coulson thinks of himself as a gay man. Buuuut he was raised in a religious community that had some problems with that. So, like many people of my faith (I'm projecting my issues with my own religion onto my muse don't worry about it), he tried and occasionally will continue to try to make things work with women despite his general lack of attraction. But he's also on the aroace spectrum. He's not often sexually or romantically attracted to anyone and he even more rarely has consistent romantic attraction to people, but the romantic attraction could happen with anyone. It's just the sexual attraction that only happens with other men. So! Phil tries hard, for a lot of his life, not to build relationships on attraction, which feels very shaky and unstable to him, but on friendship.

The other party isn't always thrilled with that.

But Phil loved Audrey. I don't always stick to AoS canon, but he loves Melinda too. He just isn't in love with them and he isn't sexually attracted to them. That doesn't mean he necessarily won't have sex with women, because he certainly might have sex with a woman if she wanted to and he liked and trusted her and was in the mood.

Audrey was his best friend. He might have married her, if he hadn't gone and been killed. But he still self-identifies as gay because that's what he relates most to. He gets very annoyed by the entire concept of a gold-star gay though, and will absolutely fight a bitch who tells him he's not gay because he's had relationships with women.
