It only took a few minutes back within the city walls to learn of Portland’s condition. And only a few seconds for her to ASSUME the place to be all too chaotic for her return to be noticed. Hours passed & the brunette began to STUPIDLY believe she could avoid the older for days; however long it took for her to gather enough courage. Though her plan was cut short, the younger finding herself crossing paths with her boyfriend ( ex ? ) all too soon. Taking an abrupt step back, arms folded anxiously across slender frame. “ Nic. ” The female noted, as if they weren’t beyond introductions & awkward small talk. She could do this, couldn’t she ? As long as the conversation didn’t venture into why’s. Which inevitably, it would. Though she rewarded herself with the delusion that maybe not. Maybe, the entire subject would go untouched.
