valerie had spent the next few weeks mostly keeping to herself. the wedding fiasco had went according to place. as worried as she was that serkan wouldnt show up after their fight he did.. right at the last minute but he kept his end of the barging nevertheless. she was grateful for that and had kept the conversation short, nothing more but a thank you really. not only for saving her from her wedding but for teaching her how to throw a punch when gran had tried to put his hands on her at the alter. the bruises on her hand healed and so focused most of her time on work. she worked at bar nearly every night and when she finished she had went back home saving her money. it had been about three months and she had finally saved up enough for a place and some things to fill it. it was like a shoe box compared to the life valerie had once lived. though she had learned that she didnt need fancy and big things to be happy. she was working hard and earning everything she had gotten and that was important to her.
her conversations with serkan were very minimum, she would answer questioned when asked or when things at the bar was needed she would let him know. though besides that she had given him his own space to do his own thing. she couldnt help but feel like strangers, he was right about them not being the same people. it was a harsh truth but it was the truth nevertheless. however when she had gotten her place the first person she wanted to show was him for some reason. she was ecstatic and when she had given him the address and asked him to meet her there she was worried he wouldnt. though when she heard the knock at the door she felt her stomach turn. rushing to the door a smile tugged at her lips. a big goofy grin spread to her face and she felt like it had been months since she had even smiled like this. opening the door for him her excitement grew .”i did it.” she softly said holding her keys up. “it’s all mine...”
