I noticed that @lover-without-a-heart has many Bee friends, both real and plush! And since we all need something beautiful, soft and nice in our homes - well - voids, I guess, I thought I'd leave you with a vase of flowers! For you and your bees (and the mod)! And look, there was a stowaway! A tiny little bee friend wanted to be here with you, I suppose. (OOC: Found the blog today and ate it up. What a fun idea! And I wanted to contribute something nice for Caine in the void. This drawing took more than 4 hours because I was messing around with all sorts of textured brushes. I hope you like it!)

C.A.I.N.E. - The Way

Artist: C.A.I.N.E. Album: The Way (single) Label: Unsigned Genre: Hardcore This appears to just be a single and "The Way" is a melodic vocal led track that doesn't especially challenge the ear but is okay. The sound is not especially good and the few moments that the musicians get to shine don't really do them justice. The vocal is strong but allowed to dominate just a little too much. An irritating fade gives way to "Metal Sau" which kicks off all the heavier and the riffs combine well with pounding rhythms. It becomes clear that this is a short instrumental and in spite of that is better than the first offering. This closes with an alternative version to "The Way" and familiar acoustic strums pave the way for the vocal. It is joined by some new sounds but still is too dominated by the vocal although this time there is no real sense of anything more promising in the background. There are loads of opportunities for the music to naturally develop but they aren't taken and this ends up feeling like an over long intro passage to a better song. There was no note with this so some digging reveals this song is a number of years old. If this is all they can muster today then I'm not sure if they are worth checking out. 9/20 (note - review carried out prior to receiving more material!)
