"Right, okay- so, listen- if I get the whole town on the same network I might be able to get everyone some semblance of communication- I could code a chatroom in my sleep- but I need enough computers running the same system, on the same network to make it strong enough to function like a botnet, you know or-or a BIG town-wide LAN system so... Listen, I'm not gonna rob you, I just. I know you have a computer I can use to bolster the network and-" Cyan groans, as the door slams in his face. "RIGHT, WELL, WHEN EVERYBODY ELSE IS BACK IN THE 21ST CENTURY AND YOU'RE BURNING DEER FAT FOR LIGHT DON'T COME CRYING TO ME!" He shouts as he straightens up, gathering the wiring kit he'd brought along and walking back out onto the sidewalk.
He knew he wasn't particularly trustworthy, but those rejections didn't ever stop stinging- especially when most people in town had been excited by the prospect and allowed him to help- he had the library functioning again, the computers communicating between one another with reach toward town hall as well- but the network was only as capable as what he could connect to it. Lost in thought, and muttering to himself, he doesn't quite notice when he smacks headlong into someone else. "Ow-fuck-" He staggers, lifting his sunglasses up into his hair. "that's my bad." He insists, then pauses, glancing only a few feet back to the house. "You uh... did you see any of that?"
