Proposed bungalow at Frinton-on-Sea for S. Turner by C.F.A.Voysey (1906).
The house was designed for an exposed site with little view, so is centred around an eclosed courtyard with pond, protected from the wind and allowing inward-facing doors and windows windows to be left open on summer nights. Unusually for a house designed by Voysey there was no provision for heating in the bedrooms for winter, the only open fireplaces being in the Parlour, Dining Room, and Entrance Hallway.
