who's someone you wish you could get closer to in the colony?
Hmm… prob’ly Teilo? I don’t think we got that much in common, but he clearly spent a long time readin’ ‘bout things I never did, and I’d like to learn more about that. Like, I never thought to pick up anythin’ to do with laws and stuff, human rights, ‘cause it didn’t seem like it mattered for someone like me. Now I wish I knew more about how people decided all those things—built systems that actually fuckin’ worked, to protect people. All I know’s is like, flour’s explosive, don’t eat mushrooms unless you’re totally sure what they are—an’ both those I learned from Trig, so I really just wanna stick him an’ Teilo in a room with a list of problems we need solved, an’ see what they come up with. Anaya an’ Costin, too, for basically the same reason. I really want to talk to anyone who knows stuff I don’t have the first clue about, ‘cause that’s how I learn best.
