Week 3 - "P" - PLAN, POWER, PERSIST
CUPID'S ARROW FOR THE WEEK: If nothing else this week, give me your plan. Put Pen to Paper and give us your Powerful Plan to Push, Persist, and Pursue your Powerful self further.

1. PLAN - In week 1 we all were asked to Compile our goals. Take just a few of those goals that you chose, and reevaluate how you are doing on them. Are the obstacles in your way that are keeping you from achieving them? Write out a Plan of attack for how you are going to deal with those obstacles for the duration of the week. Make it as detailed as you would like it to be, but write it out.
This week, my obstacles are still weather and finance. It's going to be a tight budget this week, but luckily I went grocery shopping Thursday night and stocked up on healthy foods to keep me going this week when we get more snow starting tomorrow.
I also can't run unless I go to Coney Island this week, but with temperatures ranging between 0 and 10 this week (with a wind chill dropping to around 10 below), I actually WANT to opt for the gym. I want to go twice this week, I think it will feel really good for me.
I also plan on seeing how many situps I can do this week, and Im not allowed to do ANY crunches. Situp count for the week- hopefully will be more than 10. I'm also on my period this week, so that means that any time I workout, I'll actually be burning way more calories than normal, without having to workout longer.
I also have a ton of cleaning to do. Yesterday I cleaned the kitchen and the bathroom and my bedroom, but this weekend we are having my friend kate's 30 birthday party at our house (and a parent is coming :S) so we are going to be in mad cleaning mode all week. Im going to track all that snow shoveling and floor scrubbing.
2. POWER - Feeling Powerful can Push you to greater heights. Name a certain exercise, or move that always makes you feel extremely Powerful. Whether it be Push-ups, Pull-ups, Planks or Pendulums. Name them, Post a Photo of you doing them, a youtube video of someone else Performing them, or just a description of how to do it. Then work as many into your Plan for this week as you would like. Try to also incorporate some of the Power moves that others name as well!
Actually... Pilates makes me feel incredible! And I haven't done it in a long time. Especially cause I need the livingroom DVD player to do it. I will do that this Friday at the lastest, because I get out of work 5 hours before my roommates and will have the livingroom to myself. Oooh Im actually excited to do this!
3. PERSIST - We all know one of the secrets to success is Persistence. Getting right back at it each time you fall. What you are going to do when you can't stick to your Plan this week? Do you have DVDs at home that you can do if you can't make it to the gym? Will you make a few dinners and stash them in the freezer for when run out of time to make dinners later in the week? Are you sticking a few healthy snacks in your Purse in case your day gets too hectic? Tell us how you will Press on!
I have meat already cooked and individually portioned for the rest of the week.
I have the gym, sit-ups, Pilates and home workouts to use as backups for running.
Even if I crash and fumble this week, I'll hold on to the keen desire to finish January strong instead of limp.
I will burn a million calories shoveling on Tuesday and Wednesday even if I dont work out the rest of the week.
