Rick's POV
Three months, it has been three months since Morty disappeared. It felt like it has been years, it all started with a harmless argument we had…
,,Rick! I'm sick of it! All this b-bullshit and for what? Oh because y-you can't get you're f-fucking shit together!"
I rolled my eyes and stepped out of the ship
,, Whoa morty dURPon't make a big deal out of it when it isn't!" At this point I didn't even listen to what the kid said, it's probably just fucking nonsense at this point I thought to myself. After a few minutes of silence I started to hear sobbing, great the kid is crying. ,, You know I always was s-stupid enough to t-think that you and me had something special, but it t-turns out that you're just same amount of an asshole to me like you are to o-others." After that I just heard the garage door slam shut and a frustrated scream from Morty behind that.
It was not getting easier to deal with the kid as he was getting older, he was getting smarter and I became a emotional mess because of him. It's not like I could go up to him and tell him my sick feelings. But to be honest, living next to the person that you love was harder than expected. ,,Fuck it." I grunted and made my way to mortys room, after I knocked on the door a few times and heard nothing in response I decided to just step in,locked. That problem was solved easily tho, I grabbed the master key from my lab-coat pocket and put it into the lock ,,son of a-" he even switched bthr damn lock. At this point I was just frustrated and decided to kick the door open, after the door had hit the wall harshly I scanned the room. Clothes on the floor, paper scattered on the desk and his laptop was missing and of course morty to. I started getting nervous when I saw that his window was cracked open, ,,Morty?" I softly said and walked towards the window ,,morty don't do this to me." He is everything I have, he can't just leave I started to feel tears hot running down my cheeks and fell onto my knees.
Third person POV

Don't get me wrong, I tried everything to find him but even with a portal-gun I had no chance in finding him. Me and Morty agreed that I would remove his tracking chip when he was 18 but now I regret it. Everybody was sitting on the dinner table eating thier food, talking about nonsense like ,,what should we do tomorrow?" Or ,,how is college so far summer?" It just became so...normal.
I picked in the food head down and not really thinking about anything ,,-ick" huh? ,,RICK!" I suddenly looked up and saw everybody staring at me, ,,yeah whRUPat was t-that aURPgain?" I looked at Beth and saw the same worried eyes that she has when I'm drunk. ,,Rick" she softly said ,,I got a text message from well uh-" ,,GOD WHO WHO TEXTED YOU?!" everybody's eye's went wide, staring even more intense at me than before ,,Rick there is no need to yell at my wifr like this!" Jerry yelled I rolled my eyes and grunted ,,yeah, yeah jURPerry, you're the man of the house or whatever.." after a moment of silence beth then continued to say:,,I got a text from Morty." I looked up and looked at Beth in disbelief ,,wha-you got a-a t-text from-" ,,yeah she got a text from morty, god" summer murmured I didn't pay attention to that. ,,What did he say?" Beth then said ,,well he said that he wanted to come back to get some stuff for his new apartment." Apartment?! ,,He has an apartment?" Everybody looked at each other as if they knew something that I don't. ,,Wait a minute, you sss-seriously want to tell me that you guys had contact to him but I didn't?!" Summer cleared her throat ,,well after you guys had this huge fight and Morty decided to to leave home for a while he started talking us again and we just thought that you guys have agreed on not talking to each other again,so we didn't want to bother you with that."
,, He just said that that was would you guys did." Beth then added up to summer's comment. ,,WHY WOULD YOU THINK THAT?!" At this point nobody cared that I was screaming and just looked back at Thier plates ,, alright f-fuck this you sssssneaky ninja f-fuckers, not telling me aURPbout Morty." I walked towards my room grabbing the half empty whiskey bottle and drank the rest of it and tumbled towards my bed grabbing my phone and saw a new massage.
Morty
Hey Rick, so I'm coming home today to grab some stuff. See u around 8
I threw the phone back to the bed and leaned my head against the wall staring at the sealing.
10pm (Morty decided to stay for the night)
Morty's POV
I woke up hearing my door cracking open, Rick.
the whole time I was home he avoided contact with me and there be was drunk, tired and probably with the intention to drag me out of bed, for old times sake I guess. But he just sat on the edge of my bed stroking my cheek and he was, crying? I stayed quiet waiting for anything. ,,heURPy m-morty my l-little pURPeanut h-how are yy-you doing b-buddy."
I said nothing, mostly because I didn't know what to say ,,y-younnkow you always w-were sss-special tURPo me, I *sob* always F-felt something f-for you, oh god I'm s-so sick m-orty I-" ,, you're not." I leaned in for a kiss and well he kissed back. It was a long and soft kiss and I never wanted it to end ,, I love you rick." ,,I love you to peanut."
The next morning
Rick's POV
I woke up with a huge hangover next to Morty? ,,F-fuck." I hissed and slowly tried to get out of the bed. I probably thought it would be okay to just lay next to my fucking grandson.
,, Rick stay in bed, it's to early to get up."
My eyes widened ,,m-mor-" I got interrupted by a soft kiss and a tired smile ,,I always used to hate it when you were drunk, but at least you're are always honest when you are." I smiled softly and kissed him back laying a hand on his cheek ,,with what did I deserve you?" He just chuckled and patted on the bed implying that I should lay back down. We just spend the morning laying in bed kissing and cuddling and talking about what we did when Morty was gone.
