ASTM B111 C28000 seamless tube is manufactured from a high-strength Muntz Metal (UNS C28000) copper-zinc alloy according to the ASTM B111 / ASME SB111 specification. Muntz Metal typically contains about 60 % copper and 40 % zinc, offering an excellent balance of strength, corrosion resistance, and cost-effectiveness compared with other brass materials.
These seamless tubes are produced through cold drawing and supplied in bright annealed condition with OD ranges from 6 mm to 114.3 mm and wall thicknesses from 0.7 mm to 6 mm. They are ideal for moderate temperature and pressure applications where reliable performance and economical material cost are important.
