Nearby on the sky and in space to NGC 5005 is another spiral galaxy, NGC 5033. The two galaxies weakly influence each other gravitationally, but are not yet close enough to have gone through an interaction and be distorted. The pair is best observed during the Northern Hemisphere's spring.
