(caleb) i actually agree with caduceus, i don't think you want to pop into a stranger's head and say "hey, here we are, here we come." (jester) oh, is it rude or something?

(taliesin) 200 years could pass and you could be right after a while. this is how language works. you're just ahead of your time.

(laura/jester) oh, i just wrote a wonderful story about petunia, and her lover, captain tusktooth, and their adventures on the high seas. (liam) god, this campaign is so grimdark.

(sam) is fjord your real name? is he going to know what fjord is? (laura/jester) are you here? (sam) no, i'm sam riegel right here. i'm an avid viewer of the show, i love it.

Nein Again music for Episode 72: Clay and Dust under the cut! Matt's equipment was having some severe trouble with audio quality and skipping/overlapping with multiple songs, so bear with the strange timestamps. I got a decent number of the songs, at least.

At about 16:30, Family Matters from The Witcher III: Wild Hunt was already in progress during Matt's recap.

At 19:25, Burial Isle from Pillars of Eternity plays as Essek defends his teleport mishap.

At about 21:00, Cold Mountain from World of Warcraft: Cataclysm briefly plays as Matt narrates what Caduceus observes from their landing spot. The link below is the OST version, but there are multiple variations that play within the game. This song is also original to classic WoW, but Cataclysm included a revamp of classic zones, including much higher quality music for key songs such as this one.

At 23:05, Forest Day 2 from World of Warcraft plays Caleb asks Caduceus what else he knows about where they're going. I timestamped it in a compilation below.

At 24:00, Temple of Woedica from Pillars of Eternity plays as Fjord looks around.

Around 25:45, Standing Stones from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim plays as the Nein begin making their way around the lake.

At 58:05, Silent Footsteps from TES V: Skyrim plays as the storm worsens and Nein approach the lava pour.

Around 1:10:00 or so, Standing Stones or Dawn repeated as the Nein travel via Polymorphed Eagles.

At 1:17:45, An Ominous Place from the first Witcher game plays as the Nein inspect a creepy hole/cave.

At about 1:22:55, Dead City from the first Witcher game plays as Caduceus goes in for a hug with Jeramess Dust.

At 1:30:55, Silent Footsteps repeats as Caduceus asks for details about his family members' visits to Kravaraad.

At 1:33:50, Dawn repeats as they discuss the green glass and residuum dust.

Around 1:46:00, Dawn repeats again as Nott and Caduceus try melting a small portion of residuum dust in the crucible.

At 1:59:45, a variant of the Elwynn Forest theme from World of Warcraft plays as Matt mentions that the Underforge's anvil is a sister to the Core Anvil. I'm still looking for the precise version, but I linked the Cataclysm compilation because it is higher audio quality than classic. (This is also the Forest Day theme, which Matt uses a lot, but there's Redridge and Westfall variants as well that I'm having trouble tracking down.) I'll come back and link the correct version if I find it.

At 2:50:30, Emhyr Var Emreis from Witcher III briefly plays as Fjord confides in Jester that he feels like he's trying to force something to happen.

Around 3:02:00, I heard motifs from Cold Mountain from World of Warcraft during the first part of Fjord's dream. I was not able to nail down a precise timestamp. The linked song is the OST version, which compiles each of the in-game variants on the theme.

At 3:03:05, Od Nua B from Pillars of Eternity plays as Fjord is confronted by Uk'otoa in a vision.

At 3:18:35, The White River from TES V: Skyrim plays as Caduceus gives Fjord a pep talk and they go back to bed.

At 3:23:05, Peaceful Moments from the first Witcher game plays as Caduceus returns the book to Tyla Dust and the Nein have breakfast.

At 3:35:10, Burial Isle repeats as Beau asks if Fjord will keep using other fake accents and the episode ends. This is probably the best example of the weird audio effects going on because the distinctive bells at the beginning don't sound right.

!!! SPOILERS FOR FJORDS ARC AND THE END OF CAMPAIGN 2!!!

Fjord c2e72 threatening Uk’otoa his Patron (on the same place the Wildmother choose him as her Paladin): “You need me more than i need you. Give it back”

Caduceus c2e140 asking the Wildmother for a Divine Intervention to bring back The M9s friend after they failed to revivify him even after “winning the fight”: “Whoever it was, just put it back. I think they’ve earned it. Put it back.”

The best part is actually is right before Cad did this (and fucking succeeded), is Fjord went to check on Essek cuz they all were frustrated it didn’t work, and how unfair it is,

Essek said “That can’t be it, can it?”

And Fjord absolute legend said: “I don’t know. But if you were to ask my wise friend, Caduceus, I’m sure he would tell you that life continues on. It changes, it evolves, and it grows. I don’t think there’s an end. You just might not be able to see the next…trip.”

And goes on to say that Essek has more time, to turn around on any regret or grief over what he’s done, that he(Fjord) sees nothing but good, and that he has an opportunity to use that anger and frustration to fuel him.

Matt: “Of all the fungus and moss that has grown through the decomposition, more plants begin to grow as well. Vines and flowers and roots, and ferns begin to bloom and blossom out of the ground surrounding his body. Begin to encase it in a way that’s oddly familiar to one of you.” “…a warm breeze. It smells sweet, with hints of ocean. The green turns to brown, and pulls away.” And a Tealeaf is back “Your eyes open for the first time.”
