Listen I knew the second part of c3 ep33 ended badly, but I didn't expect it to hit as hard as it did goddamn.

Ah, now I have a dilemma on what to watch tomorrow cause I just watched C3 Ep 33 with that cliffhanger but I can watch the first Downfall episode tomorrow because Beacon and I can only watch one... Aagghh...

my feelings for episode 34 after *that* episode
spoilers
haven’t seen this meme posted in awhile but it really summarizes my feelings right now
I keep thinking about Travis not running away when he could, saying, "I don't want to be the only one who didn't die", and Matt replying, “I can respect that”. Like, that is PEAK D&D humor. Not just Critical Role, but the whole game.
*I’ve finally watched ep 33 and y’all weren’t kidding about that episode damn ! Can’t believe all of this started with Sam disguised as a cat ! (which was asequally cursed and accurate and made me laugh so much)
*I’m too tired to do much reacting but damn the vibes were so good in the beginning with those Nat 20s, getting Treshi and getting out of the Seat of Disdain ! It was going fine !!
*When I heard about this episode going wrong, I didn’t think it was going to be going wrong so fast in the battle with Otohan, they were soooo not ready for this battle and so outranked !
*Despite having been spoiled about the deaths, I graped at my hair so many times because I didn’t know for sure how many deaths there were and this was so stressing (but also I love a good battle turning bad and wrong because of the tension and consequences it can give).
*It did feel a little weird how this battle was clearly at disadvantage for our party and that plus the final feel like there is definitely something planned by Matt.(but also the dices were not helping our cast)
*This battle was crushing for everyone but damn Orym had the least chances to fight back and to think he died at the hand of the person who killed his husband... THAT HURT SO BAD (but also is kinda poetic in a way)
*”Is she your favorite ?” was also something I heard about before watching the episode but holy shit it was so chilling !
*That explosion with Imogen at the end had me having my mouth wide open as if I was Ashley Johnson, just such an intense and strong moment ! (wtf is Otohan doing with Imogen, what is happeniiiiiing ???!!)
That’s all I have for now but I will surely come back with other thoughts later. It was a damn good episode ! (Personally I’m never against a character death in critical role, not because I dislike the characters or something like that, but because it’s still a game and shit happens, sometimes you’re just out of luck, sometimes you want to try something out and I trust the cast to spin any outcome -perma death or not- into a good story).
