This episode was actually so much fun--we got Whodunnit elements, action-thriller elements, and of course elements that made me pause the VOD because I was laughing too hard to continue. I finished this episode with not a moment to spare before the next episode airs as well, so without further ado here are my liveblogs for Campaign 3, Episode 7 of Critical Role: “Behind the Curtain”!

- This thumbnail with Orym and FCG is so wholesome, they’re already one of my friendships of this early campaign :’)

- So who was gonna tell me that the entire Critical Role cast is THIS good at singing? The new theme song is so cool!

- SCANLAN SHORTHALT SHOUTOUT LETS GOOO

- The thought of a Dorian, FCG, and Fearne performance trio is hilarious, please tell me there’s fanart

- “Two quick questions--three quick questions--” “Throw in a fourth while you’re at it” “Four, then” ASHTON YOU ASSHOLE I LOVE YOU

- Tefta and Ocampo are the “right hand helpers”/managerial position, got it!

- Ashton being so suspicious of all the furniture is such a good bit, as is Fearne randomly stealing things extremely unstealthily sdfghjk

- Laura and Sam singing Rainbow Connection at ~1:37:14 is so Good I love them

- THE ALLEY CREATURE HAS BEEN SUCKING PEOPLE IN OH NOO

- Ashley’s costume change HELLO she looks so pretty

- This map did not get the characteristic ‘oooh’s from the party because they were distracted but dear goodness it looks so nice!!

- Matt please do not reference the ‘shiver and quiff’ moment to me, I will have to pause the video for a solid 10 minutes just to giggle asdfghj

- Wait Matt said ‘18′ but according to the closed captions, Marisha thought he said ‘19′ (which meets her AC) noooooo I hope that it doesn’t matter too much in the scheme of the fight!

- the bottom row getting 23, 22, 21 and 20 initiative in descending order is actually so fitting i love that!

- The instinctive Owen Wilson ‘Wow’s at 2:31:05 are so perfect ghjkkll

- FCG taking 7 points of Ashton’s damage even though Dorian and Orym got damaged more I love their friendship (but it also could be because Ashton is hurt more overall, but still <3 my beloveds <3)

- Liam going “Am I attracted to this? No. Am I?” SIR?? Lol

- I adore the rebranding of “Shield of Faith” into “Shield of Help!” 

- ANOTHER HDYWTDT FOR ROBBIE LETS GOOOOO

- IS TRAVIS PLAYING ANOTHER OLD MAN FGIDKKJFKJF

- CHUTNEY???? OF THE NIGHT BEFORE CRITMAS FAME????

- I hope that if Chutney dies, Travis brings in Macaroni Samsonite dfsghjk

I love that whether or not Chetney is Travis's permanent character, that part of the new intro where Marisha is freaking him out with spooky Laudna gestures will continue to be accurate.
