Here we go. She's a cool mom. Fan art of Deirta Thelyss - the mother of Essek and Verin Thelyss, and the leader of one of the three ruling dens of the Kryn Dynasty. This character is from The Mighty Nein animation series and (briefly) Critical Role campaign 2.

I am absolutely in love with The Mighty Nein animated series so far, CR2 holds a very special place in my heart, as I started watching CR during this time and it became a very cherished thing that I share with my partner ever since. Seeing Essek's story arc so early on is truly wonderful, and I immediately gravitated towards Deirta, and her pain. I felt compelled to draw her immediately, and this is how I spent previous two nights, one of which (24-25 Nov) was absolutely horrific to live through, as my home city Kyiv was under heavy bombardment that took the lives of seven people, injured many more and destroyed many homes. I stayed up well into the morning hours to make sure I can complete as much of the artwork as possible, as I was not sure how much of the energy supply will be available the next day. But thankfully Ukrainian engineers worked hard to restore things as quickly as they could, so today we're only lacking 8 hours of electricity out of 24, and yes, this is what I call luck, as we experienced times with only 4 hours available per day.
I know every post I write here is about these attacks and the suffering they bring, but I cannot stay silent when this horrific injustice is happening to us every single day, for years, while for most of the world we have become barely more than a tool for political manipulation. Please don't forget Ukraine. I am trying really hard to keep going, to create and to do my best to hopefully have some kind of future, though at times it feels like this nightmare will never end, and the stress seem to now be effecting my health. Just remember we are real people, with real lives, dreams and aspirations, who were just unlucky enough to neighbour these murderous maniacs. Hopefully I will share more art soon and will keep doing that for as long as I can.
