Ending a somewhat cursed race weekend on a very lovely note, Jess Hawkins spoke to C4 about her Aston test two weeks ago.

A summary (idk how to get C4 footage onto tumblr 😭):

- Spoke again about what an amazing experience it was, and that it helped that the test was at a track she was familiar with (having driven at the Hungaroring in W Series)

- Said that physically after the test she was fine, apart from her neck (which tbf is expected)

- Most notably, she said she was going to be heavily involved in Aston's driver selection process for F1 Academy next season. And it sounds like she's going to have a supporting role for whoever Aston's sponsored driver will be too.

- And just as importantly, she said that her not just driving a modern F1 car, but having a good test, proved in her mind that a woman absolutely can drive and compete in F1 if given the opportunity
