Costume Change || Levi, Hyun
He’d been idling in his kitchen, thinking and cooking. A wafting smell of cinnamon and apples made his apartment complete and then he heard it... the buzzer indicating he had mail. It was a small annoying din that tapered off and ended with the metallic noise of the mail-slot shutting. He set the wooden spoon down.
Hyun had been trying to get into a fall mood, it was a weekend and the weather was getting a bit colder. All in all, a warm cup of cider made everything complete, and if you were him... well a little something extra in it didn’t hurt. The pot he’d heated it up in on the stove was still bubbling but he walked away from the counter to step past it and towards the door for a moment. He bent over, his shirt riding up and he pulled the back down over his briefs as he stood back up, mail in hand. He wasn’t dressed yet and it was eleven already.
Padding back over to the kitchen he chucked some fliers immediately. The cardstock slipped from his hand and into the trash in a moment. Two things left, he pulled aside a letter about his rent and placing it on the counter he glanced over the last thing in the stack.
It was a magazine, another one of those promotionals except this one... this was for a costume store. Hyun placed it down, turning to the stove again before turning back, flipping it open. His look grew focused, his eyes narrowing as he licked his thumb and flipped the cover open. It was a reminder about the holiday and the AGENCY’s party. He hadn’t quite heard anyone talking about it yet, but it was coming up in the next few days and as he thought he knew just who he wanted to bother about it. “Levi,” his brain thought. He turned the stove off and padded over to cabinets, pulling out a mug before picking up his phone from the charger there.
Hyun smiled to himself as he pressed in the number. He hadn’t quite met anyone else like him, was surprised he was so ready to call the other man despite them only having met a few times but he pushed the feeling down for his usual blunt and unthinking eagerness. The phone rang and he set his cup on the counter, ladling some cider in and juggling his cell between his shoulder and ear as he did so. Hopefully the warlock would pick up.
