𝐒𝐔𝐌𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐘 - Mattheo and Marvolo ask Tom if he really carries sandals for their mother, and he immediately proves it by replacing Y/N’s heels without hesitation.
𝐀𝐔𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐑𝐒 𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐄 - yee.
Mattheo and Marvolo found their father exactly where they expected him to be standing near the doorway, composed, unreadable, entirely in control of everything around him.
“Father,” Mattheo started.
Tom didn’t look at them. “What.”
Marvolo stepped forward anyway. “Is it true you always carry a pair of sandals for Mum? In case she needs them?”
There wasn’t even a pause. Tom flicked his wand once and a pair of simple, elegant sandals appeared in his hand. “Yes,” he said calmly. “Why?”
The boys didn’t even get a chance to answer because Tom had already moved.
His gaze had shifted across the room landing on Y/N.
She was standing a little off to the side, shifting her weight slightly in her heels, clearly not uncomfortable enough to complain… but enough that Tom noticed.
He always noticed, within seconds, he was in front of her.
Y/N blinked. “Tom, love—?”
But he was already lowering himself like it was the most natural thing in the world. He reached for her heel, undoing the strap with careful precision.
“Tom?” she repeated, softer now, more curious than anything.
Mattheo and Marvolo exchanged a look. “…Of course he does,” Mattheo muttered.
“Honestly,” Marvolo added, folding his arms, “a true gentleman.”
Tom didn’t react he didn’t even glance back.
He slipped her heels off gently, setting them aside before taking the sandals he’d just conjured and sliding them onto her feet instead.
Like he’d done it a hundred times of course he had.
Y/N watched him the entire time, something soft settling in her expression. “You didn’t have to do that.”
“I did,” he replied simply.
Behind them, Delphini had appeared, leaning casually against the wall as she watched. She nudged her brothers slightly. “You could learn a lot from him.”
Mattheo scoffed. “I’m not carrying sandals around.”
Marvolo nodded. “Absolutely not.”
Delphini just hummed because they were still watching.
All of them were.
Tom adjusted the strap slightly, making sure it sat perfectly before his hand lingered just a moment longer at her ankle and then he pressed a soft kiss there. Like it was instinct.
Y/N inhaled softly, her hand instinctively coming to rest against his shoulder. “Tom…”
But he was already straightening.
With a flick of his wand, her heels vanished. Sent safely back home without a second thought.
Then he held out his hand to her. Waiting, always waiting for her.
She took it without hesitation.
Delphini smiled faintly. “See?” she said to her brothers. “That’s chivalry.”
Mattheo rolled his eyes.
Marvolo muttered something under his breath.
But neither of them looked away.
And Tom didn’t care who was watching his attention was already back where it belonged. On her.
