Casper yawned as he set his phone on the bedside table next to him and lazily stretched in his bed. He had been in bed all day sipping on the half empty bottle of Jack Daniels sitting on his bed stand, and he could only assume that at one point he ended up falling asleep. He made his way through his dark room, arms extended in front of him as he walked to prevent him from bumping into anything. Even so, as he made his way through what he thought was his door, he felt his shoulder bump into the wall, causing a low hiss to escape his lips and his opposite hand to reflexively cling to his shoulder that was now throbbing with pain. Furrowing his brows in an attempt to clear his vision, he started to run his hands over the wall until his fingers made contact with the light switch, blinking as his eyes adjusted to the newly illuminated room. Grabbing his phone, he sent a text to Caitlin that read “Come over.” It had been a while since he’d seen the girl, and he was looking forward to doing so. Despite that, it was never awkward. They were always able to pick up right where they left off. Low-maintenance. Just the way he liked it.
