Separation
Falka could swear her heart was showing outside of her chest. It was beating so fast and so loudly, it filled her ears. They called Edkar's name. Something is bound to happen. His recklessness might have caught up to him. He's going home. Tears started pooling at the corners of her eyes. She couldn't bear the thought of being away from him. Sure, they weren't that similar, and sure, they had their differences, but they loved each other. They were always there for the other, ever since they were both little children, clueless about this world. Falka could hear the silence as she called Edkar's name again. Edkar stepped up and caught Falka's eyes and gave her a nod. She closed her eyes, not prepared to see Edkar giving up his belt. All she could hear was humming as she announced he's moving to Silber. Her eyes were wide open and her jaw was hanging slightly. This can't be true.
