It wasn’t often that Veronica spent money on things unnecessary but having received several gracious tips throughout the holiday season she had decided a movie would be the perfect escape from the constant noise of her roommate. She settled easily into the rundown seat of Westbrook’s movie theater taking a moment to scavenge through her purse for the cheap treats she’d brought along. It wasn’t until the shadow of another borrowed her attention; a curious eye watched as he entered the row in front of her finding a seat directly within her view. Lips thinned as she scanned the rest of the theater, empty as she had arrived especially early; plenty of other seats available. “Are you fucking kidding me?” It was a whispered sigh, his height impeding on what she could see of the screen. Veronica was never a patient girl, quick to express her annoyance and that trait had become far more exaggerated with age. The sole of her shoe pushed against the back of the seat. “Hey Sasquatch, your blocking my view. You really had to fucking sit here?”
