While everyone else ran rabid, Dom sat on standby. Technically, he was on the lookout for basically everyone but what the fuck was that supposed to do? No one gave him much information on what ro do once he did spot someone. Other than finding a payphone and report whereabouts he was about useless. He refused to run around town like a lunatic, not when he could simply wait for everyone to come to him; which they would, eventually. Eventually, everyone turned up, that is, if they weren't already dead. That would be an even easier solution.
A migraine tapped at his right temple, an annoying rhythm of dull ache that had persisted since the raid. There wasn't anything for him to think about. His job wasn't to think; it was to listen. If he wasn't told, it wasn't his problem. He found it easier than he should to adhere to that rule.
He lifted his glass to his lips, downing it in one go before aggressively placing it back on the ba,r demanding another. Fucking headache.
His stool was strategically turned toward the door. He had already scoped the building so anyone new would be coming through that door. Well, that door or the back which only meant he would have to sweep again in half an hour to check. It was this strategic placement that gave him the heads up that the only person he was hoping not to find was walking through the door.
Lux had been a sore spot for a while. It was honestly a miracle he managed to avoid them this long. He wouldn't lie, it took a great deal of effort; much more than he was use to putting into anything personal. His migrane seemed to double in tempo.
"Fucking hell." He mumbled to no one in particular as he turned himelf away from the door, hoping that Lux was ignoring him as much as he was them. He doubted he'd be so lucky, though, not after his recent errand to spy on the muppet.
