Happy Christmas
It took two owls to carry, and it couldn’t fit through the window. So It was left on the porch waiting for Alastor Moody to open the door and see the wrapped parcel, A tube that contained a heavy piece of rolled up canvas. Red markings that had started to turn brown before spelled to stay the original color. When looking at it you could almost see the song the painter danced to - the girl who’s blood was forever trapped - immortal. The Trepak from the Nutcraker Ballet, over used yes, but while the girl danced on glass - she did it so well.
Tied to the parcel was a note, a note he had paid another man to write so that it would never be tracked back to him.
Alastor,
Happy Christmas, I know by now you are morning the loss of someone dear to you, She was a beautiful Ballerina, It is a shame she made the wrong friends. Perhaps you will use this as a lesson and as the new year begins, you will finally learn that the people you become close to are the first to go.
As well as a Mourning gift this is a congratulations - I hear you and Bagman are engaged, and while it does hurt that I did not hear this news from my old friends mouth (we were after all so close at point) I do owe you a congratulations - I myself have just gotten engaged as well.
I hope you find a place on the wall for this - Dorcas after all did spend a lot of time making it, she really does - did - have a talent for dancing, you must understand as to why I found it so important to immortalize it - several times. I have a copy for myself - and I am keeping an eye near it. And another for sale - should you wish to make it a set instead of an individual painting.
Happy Holidays Dear Friend,
I look forward to this next year.
