Though he sat on the King’s Small Council, and travelled the length and width of Westeros in the quest for glory, Jayce would always be a Knight of the Vale in his heart. He, and his family, would be nothing without the Arryn’s, and though he could be accused of being arrogant, he would always go out of his way to make his gratitude known.Â
He was pleased to see Rowena there. She was a Southerner, but he had been young enough when she came to The Vale that it wouldn’t have been the same without her presence. His perpetual grin on his face, he approached her, bowing his head in a mark of respect. “Lady Arryn,” he greeted her, straightening up. “It is good to see you here. I hope you’ll save a dance for me tonight, if My Lord allows it.”Â
