✪:: “What good is execution if it is not permanent? Pain can be endured. If you wish to make an example of someone...Make. An example. ”
[[OH YEAH just in case, since I know a lot is going on on the dash right now about it! If you/your character would like to submit ideas on how to better the justice system (we didn’t design it to be perfect ooc wise on purpose, because we want citizens to improve or devolve it -- for it to naturally become ideal or a mess depending on how ppl vote and interact) you can send submissions to this blog and we will look over and discuss them for future trials!
If you can figure out how the process would work on an ooc level as well, we would be highly appreciative! Since things like Jurys are kind of hard to figure out how to set up, at least for us right now! (getting that number of people involved oocly and making sure all of them are around and able to vote is a big obstacle -- but again, if you have suggestions we’d be much appreciative!)
sO YEAH!! I’m glad everyone’s discussing the morality of Klavier’s punishment and interested in participating! And we hope you can all submit ideas to help us change our system if you can think of something! <3 ]]
Hello, Hive City! You’ve eagerly (or not-so-eagerly) followed our first trial, and now it’s time to vote! The poll will ask a simple question: Should Klavier Gavin be punished, or not punished?
But that’s not all - the more who vote to punish Mr. Gavin (that is, the higher the percentage of guilty votes), the more severe his punishment will be! A simple majority is needed for the most moderate of punishment (over 50%), but the prosecution in this case is advocating for death. Well, Hive City? What do you think?
Remember, any character can vote on the outcome, whether they were in the actual court room or just following along via television or the internet! And if characters would like to comment on the trial itself, or on Klavier's guilt or sentence, there is a section on the poll which will allow them to do so, so feel free to make use of it (you might need to click through a bit to get to it)!
Thank you for sticking with us through our first trial, and we hope you all had as much fun watching and participating as we had in planning!

Hello, everyone! There are a few updates that we’d like to note!
Polling for the current batch of laws will be closing tomorrow, so be sure to get your votes in! After that, we’ll tally up the votes and announce the results! Then a new batch of laws will be posted for voting!
This also means that we’ll be able to begin holding trials soon! We’re still working on the official form for interested parties to submit, but we should have that up soon for anyone who would like their character to appear in court. We are also currently planning our first "trial" trial to test our procedures, so look out for the announcement on that! Trials will also rely on a poll to determine their outcomes, so we’re hoping for continued community involvement!
Thank you all for your support and we hope to have the results for the first batch of laws out for everyone soon!
