CA Migration: Priscilla’s Palace (The Misanthrope Village)
Priscilla’s palace, should one be able to find the code words for it, is located in Sector 003, where she spends the majority of her time. In contrast to the shady city, her palace looks like a bright and cheerful village. It’s almost utopian, and there are a number of people wandering around, cognitions of NPC from the city.
At the back of the village there is a large castle, but entry is impossible until you complete several quests for the NPCs around the town. While they seem very friendly at first, they’ll drop hints that the King’s Knight is incompetent and should be fired. When their tasks are complete, no matter how well they are done, the NPCs will turn on the visitors, either violently or verbally. However, after five tasks, the castle can be entered.
The palace consists of four wings. The Princess’ Wing, the Prince’s Wing, the Queen’s Wing, and the King’s Wing. They have to be cleared in that order. Each of the wings involves having to defeat a shadow, mini-boss style, with the exception of the King’s Wing. At the end of the King’s Wing, they’ll finally come across Priscilla’s shadow, the King’s Knight.
Pris’ shadow is incredible over worked and near the point of collapse, but very obedient to the NPCs. Whenever she seems to be wearing down, she will be scolded by the NPC representing the king, whom she refers to as her father. Priscilla will try to drive the visitors out, but her boss fight is pretty pathetic. However, she’ll keep getting up every time the king insults her. Only when the king is attacked will she become serious...

For the first week of this post’s launch, Final Fantasy-related quests will be issued. Most have incentives attached, while others are meant to strengthen the bonds of fellow Cittazens. Please note that (1) these are timed quests and are subject to expire, (2) any rewards offered may be redeemable only once per account, regardless of whether or not you decide to take on the challenge multiple times, & (3) ranking restrictions may apply to the options given.
The Battle of BEHEMOTH.
Difficulty: ★★★★☆
A fearsome beast has arisen, sending residents and wildlife--particularly Pokémon--into disarray due to its dizzying might. Equipped with raw strength and an inherent mean streak nigh unparalleled, this monster is a prime target for bounty hunters. If you opt to join in the fight, you will be gifted (1) REDEEMABLE COUPON for a weapon or item purchase in one of Hive City’s corresponding shops.
The Bridge of BOMBS.
Difficulty: ★★★★☆
Rumors of explosive creatures posted along small intersections, the bridging of districts, have been bubbling slowly. Formidable foes in their own right, these monsters possess the ability to cause major damage to the surroundings. If you choose to diffuse the situation, you will be gifted (1) REDEEMABLE COUPON for an explosive purchase in one of Hive City’s corresponding shops.
The Dance of DAEMONS.
Difficulty: ★★★★☆
Within the shadows lurk powerful beings who help to define the term 'night terror'. These hulking Titans act as reapers of the night, wielding gargantuan blades meant for immediate death. However, if you are so bold as to face one of these nightmares head-on, you will be gifted (1) REDEEMABLE COUPON for a weapon or item purchase in one of Hive City’s corresponding shops.
Times cited for the Daemon’s appearances are as follows: 8PM - 6AM EST.
The Quest for CACTUAR.
Difficulty: ★★★☆☆
This elusive creature has been the cause of a recent upset, if only because of the wealth it is said to bestow. If you are able to hunt this plantlike being within the targeted window, you will be gifted (1) REDEEMABLE COUPON for an item purchase in one of Hive City’s corresponding shops.
Times cited for the Cactuar’s appearance are as follows: 12AM, 3AM, 6AM, 9AM, 12PM, 3PM, 6PM, 9PM EST. Each horde remains for an entire hour.

All throughout Vario she feels the weight of unseen eyes upon her, noises just audible above the murmur of the crowds. Trailing footsteps, scales scraping dryly against dusty tile. Tiny, chirruping giggles. As Gwyndolin enters a small plaza with a dry fountain in the center, an empty glass soda bottle rolls to a stop across her path, clinking musically. The angle of the sun and the surrounding buildings cast the area into cool blue shadow.
“You want to play, is that it?” she asks to the emptiness. “You want to practice disguises? Shall I start?”
While she’d never seen the creature in real life, she’d seen illustrations in her research, and the illusion she cloaks herself behind is as accurate as she can manage. A small, sleek black fox with a thick ruff and a crimson crest of fur on its head. Just like the one that emerges from behind the fountain, ears twitching as it trots over to sniff at her. It chitters and hops back, light blooming and obscuring its body as it transforms into a copy of Gwyndolin, kneeling closer to her own illusion’s level.
“Very good…” She lets her own illusion dissipate in a shower of silvery leaves, reaching out to lightly touch her copy’s cheek. It mirrors the movement, smiling much too eagerly and broadly to be one of her own expression, but it does have the same pointed teeth. “Almost perfect,” she tells it, slowly drawing the black and yellow ball from her purse. “Would you like to come with me? I’ll show you how to get it exactly right…”
// Porygon had been a puzzling little thing to try to figure out.
Even after Pokémon had had a more widespread appearance across the Sectors, the Drifter kept finding themself at a loss as to properly understanding it. Thankfully it seemed another Trainer nearby was doing some target practice with their Gible--the Drifter, with Porygon in close tow, approached her.
The Drifter gave a headbow to Cynthia out of respect--they had to make it clear that they were here to observe how she handled commanding her Pokémon, not to fight with her.
Then, they patted their Porygon’s head, gently nudging it; encouraging for it to turn around and face Cynthia and her Gible, instead of blankly staring out into space.
She knew there was beach here! She just couldn’t believe it took her so long to find it.
Being in the city for just over half a year now, Korra was still pleasantly (and unpleasantly, sometimes) surprised by what these so-called scientists could spring upon them.
This time was no different.
So, there was a beach. That was good. Granted, this wasn’t the best time of year to be visiting said beach but since when did she care about such details? What intrigued her more was the little creature she spotted just on the shore. Blue, sort of like a turtle with a cute curly tail and Korra decided it was the more adorable little thing she had ever seen.
Better yet, it was waterbending.
Well, not really… she doubted it was called that but the… whatever it was, was casually spurting little fountains of water seemingly out of nowhere, without a care in the world. Just doing its thing as the morning passed them by. There was no way Korra could let an opportunity like this slip away.
“Hey!”
The creature… no, it wasn’t a creature, that didn’t seem right. There had been rumours of strange animals appearing in the city (Pokémon, she thought they were called) and though she had been out to look on several occasions, she had yet to encounter one. She supposed this was her lucky day, right?
Well, not exactly.
Her loud exclamation apparently startled the Pokémon and before she could react, a strong jet of water hit her square in the face, soaking her hair and clothes. She coughed, as she somehow managed to inhale at least half of the Pokemon’s attack and finally caught her breath before it could run away.
“H-Hey, wait!” She reached out hesitantly the, instead moved her hand to push her hair out of her eyes. The Pokemon watched her, somewhat cautiously as though it were expecting her to make another sudden move. Korra could sense it was nervous so she did the first thing that came to mind.
“I won’t hurt you,” She reassured. “But I can do that too! Well, sort of. Just watch…”
She had no idea if it could understand a word she was saying but its eyes focused upon her intently as it waited for her to continue. Seeing that she wasn’t going to be attacked just yet, she took that as her cue to start.
Hands moved in a fluid motion, just like the water she was bringing forth from the wet sand beneath her. She directed the water to form a large orb and suspended it between herself and the Pokémon. “See! Cool, right?”
If Pokémon could look surprised, this one certainly did. It began to point at the orb, flailing its tiny arms wildly as though it couldn’t believe what it was seeing. It began to talk—that surprised Korra enough so she nearly lost control of her water sphere—but she didn’t quite understand what it was trying to say, though it did sound like it was repeating the same word in variation—Squirtle.
The Avatar gave a small laugh and made a swiping motion with her hand to dispose of the sphere. “Neat, huh? But hey, listen… I don’t know what you’re trying to say but are we cool now? I didn’t mean to startle you earlier. I’m sorry.”
Her sincere smile was returned with Pokémon’s own—a large, toothy grin as it conveyed its excitement. It came a bit closer and demonstrated it’s own water technique again, glancing at Korra every now and then to make sure she was watching.
And that’s how she spent the next few hours; alone on the beach, comparing and sometimes competing with the Pokémon as they both demonstrated their own techniques.
Eventually, she figured out the Pokémon was indeed called Squirtle.
Pointing at itself, the Pokémon exclaimed, “Squirtle! Squirtle squirt!” Over and over until she understood what it was trying to say.
“Oh! You’re Squirtle, huh? Nice to meet you, I’m Korra.” Squatting down, she extended a hand which was taken by Squirtle’s own then she was met with another jet of water to the face.
Cute and sassy. She loved this little guy… girl… she wasn’t sure…
(Guy, she eventually found out).
It was early afternoon when she had to leave. Her shift at the inn was starting soon and she had to say goodbye to her new friend… but Squirtle had ideas of his own. Vigorously shaking his head, it pointed and shouted at the belt around her waist. Of course, it took her a few moments but she eventually understood what he meant. Those strange spherical devices she had found in her bedroom one day… now she knew what they were for.
“You want me to… catch you?”
“Squirtle!” A nod.
“You’re sure?”
“Squirtle!!” Another nod, though somewhat impatient this time. Korra unhooked one of the pokeballs from her belt then asked, “What am I supposed to do with it?”
Squirtle made a tossing motion then pointed at himself, then placed his hands on his hips as he blew out another impatient sigh. Korra’s grin returned but shrugged, “Alright, alright… I guess if you wanna hang out with me that badly, I’ll let you come.”
She tossed the ball at Squirtle and watched as it captured him into it’s contents. The ball landed on the sand and shook three or four times before settling down, indicating the Pokémon had been successfully captured. Korra lifted the ball, stared at it for a few moments before tossing it once again. Squirtle hadn’t exactly told her how to release him once he’d been captured so she guessed this was how it worked.
Luckily she was right and Squirtle immediately leapt into her arms without giving her a chance to react. He seemed happy enough there so Korra picked up his pokeball and put it away. She didn’t think he’d need it anyway.
Another small jet of water to her face just confirmed Squirtle’s happiness and Korra wouldn’t complain. Besides, it’s not every day you meet a new little friend like Squirtle after all.

Night walks do wonders in calming the mind down, something that he's discovered to be good for him within the recent months. With nothing but the cool breeze and the quiet chirping of various insects to keep you company, there's a profound sense of peace that can be felt. It was usually through the sectors in which he walked, but tonight he stands in front of the entrance of a cave, ready to explored. In he goes, with only the dim light of his phone to guide him forward. Only does he stop walking when the sound of a groan echoes reverberates off of the walls. Whatever it was, it didn't sound human in the slightest but it didn't deter him from continuing on.
As he continues on, soon enough there's an end to the tunnel he'd been so far following and it opened up to reveal a small lake and at the edge of it lay a large creature, clearly the source of the painful cries he had heard not too long ago. He hurries as fast as he's able, crouching forward and holding his phone at an angle so that he'd be able to see just what was wrong with the creature.
A closer look allows him to see what it looks like. Large with blue hide and a horn rested in the center of its forehead, a heavy gray shell adorning it's back and upon further inspection, four blue flippers and one of which had a large gash. It's hurt, clearly. But he's not exactly sure what he can do for it. He'd heard of the migration of strange creatures in the city and there was only one person who came to mind that would be able to help him, but he was no longer here.
He stands up, hand in chin as he desperately tries to think of something--anything--that he'd be able to do to stop the pain. He wasn't an expert at these things and it's only then does he remember that there is one other person that he can reluctantly call. Flipping through the contacts of his phone, he stops and hovers over the call button of the name ‘Leo’ before finally pressing to initiate it. It's late, so it's not really expecting an answer, but when a voice comes onto the other line, he only sighs before he begins, “I need your help.” Never in his life would he have thought that he'd have to ask him of all people.
“It's about...a creature from your home world. I've found one and it's hurt, I don't know what to do to help it and there was only one person I could have asked, but N is gone now and--” he realizes that he's probably talking to much and should stick to his original request. “I realize it’s late, but can you come?”
