Thank you to @ca-3 for my commission of a blood covered Chat Blanc holding the butterfly miraculous!
My 13.9" AR feels so small now.
Today I finally filled in the battle-rifle-shaped hole in my rifle collection with a CA-3, the Century Arms import version of the Heckler & Koch G3.
It's cool, but there is one issue with the grip, which has a thumb shelf:
Pretty cool! If you're right handed.
Unfortunately, I'm left handed. So when I hold it, I just have a green plastic sand dune digging into my palm. Not painful, but annoying.
Fortunately however, surplus G3 grips can be found pretty easily, so I was able to order one for like ten bucks, and when it arrives I will be dremeling and sanding it down on the left side. Sure, I could just do that with the grip it came with, but my collector brain doesn't want to.
So now I have a little project!
Also, because this is an imported HK rifle...
I can do the HK Slap.
I gotta say, it is weirdly satisfying.
