Alright. Even though both Dean and Sam got hurt, Cas always heals Dean first, if not only Dean. That time in the crypt when he broke through Naomi's mind control after beating Dean bloody, he healed him up using his whole palm cupping Dean's face instead of 2 fingers. But it's back to 2 fingers now recently.... Why does it feel more intimate when Cas heals Dean than when he heals someone else? lol

Don't you do things more intimately with the person you love than anyone else?

Especially relevant with how he does it in 12x23, not at all as he usually would, even though he’s just shouted his name and ignored everyone else in the room.... WHAT IS GOING ON WITH CAS?! I mean maybe he’s just super busy with the nephilim being born upstairs and lucifer on their trail but add this to all the other weird behaviour and it all adds up to something weird going on with him in this episode.

Hi! I was just wondering what the importance of the sunrise speculation would be about. (When they were rushing at 5 AM to do the scene) I seen it in a few in your posts about when Cas died and stuff. I'm not sure I understand what it's about, so I was curious if you could explain a little! Thanks :)

It’s the concept that Cas is heavily associated with the Sun (and also sometimes fish).

For me the fish metaphor is about his representing Jesus / messianic figure and the sun metaphor is about him generally representing hope and good things (cos “good things do happen” is literally one of the first things he says after dragging Dean out of the darkness) and particularly being Dean’s sunshine.

For example the new Beauty and the Beast did a great job visually linking Belle to the sun and as being the Beast’s literal sunshine, influencing the weather, waking up the castle and himself, whilst also representing Humanity and making Beast more Human, it’s an amazing merge of Dean and Cas’s representations to each other and I love it because it shows it’s such a standard trope - sunshine, hope and humanity :)

So, they apparently filmed the death scene at 5am and at Jibcon Jensen revealed that it was all a bit rushed for time constraints…

So it’s speculation that there will be a sunrise in 13x01 and it would fit that Cas would wake up alongside a sunrise as he is associated with the sun and often represents hope and particularly Dean’s sunshine.
