Google translate tells me mon is French for "my" (okay, I guess I could have figured that out) and chou means—
I frown at my phone.
Why would Baz call me his cabbage?
In which Simon comes to the conclusion that calling Baz "my cabbage" in various languages is the best way to show his affection.
This all began when @martsonmars told me, "love that chou means cabbage but also baby/sweetie" and I was like ha, now I need Baz to call Simon "my little cabbage" and for Simon to take it as permission to start using all kinds of strange food-based pet names. That's not exactly what happens in this fic, but it's close.
It was also Marta’s idea to make this a 5+1 fic, AND she wrote the sweetest little song to go with it!! Link to that at the end of the fic.
Part of this fic was also inspired by some art by @nibbbs depicting Simon trying to keep Baz from getting a haircut 😂
Finally, some of the funniest parts of this fic were in fact imagined and/or written by @facewithoutheart, who imo is the queen of puns and goofy snowbaz 😄
