Bacalar has vibrant street art. Riding around the city and saw this beautiful artwork. Cacao Expeditions wouldn't be right if we couldn't hang a hammock across one of the most pristine parts of Lake Bacalar near Ecotoucan, the most sustainable resorts outside of Bacalar. We will be heading on a Jungle Tour with Jacqueline of Active Nature Bacalar. Bacalar is drier and not as hot as Tabasco so the ecosystem is slightly different. We are off to Mexico for our yearly Cacao Expedition to do some R&D, harvest our fresh Vanilla beans at the plantation and check on our 4 year old ChocoVivo cacao tree.
