Hi, Emily, this is Cacilie! I'm not sure if my message to you a little while ago about this got sent - I might not have pushed the Ask button, or at least, Tumblr shows no evidence of it - so I'm going to ask you about it again. Do you know which Saturday Night Live episode John Larroquette hosted that the sketch, Gay Communist Gun Club, featuring John and Phil Hartman, is in? There's a brief part of it on You Tube, but the description doesn't say whether it's from John's April 1987 SNL or October 1988 SNL. A long time ago, I was kind of regularly trading Saturday Night Live episodes with a guy named Mark, who had almost all of them, but somehow, I never thought to ask him for the 2 shows John has hosted, and I really regret not doing that.

Hi Cacilie! That skit is from John's second time hosting SNL, in October 1988. Here's a link to the full version of the Gay Communist Gun Club sketch, which is one of my favorites lol. Hi, Emily, this is Cacilie again! I have a question - more like a really cool idea - for you regarding a future Night Court/Dan Fielding - related post from you on Tumblr: You know how during the original Night Court series, there were many episodes that ended with a freeze frame of something happening to Dan Fielding? I think it would be awesome if you were able to make a video montage, or even a GIF post, of several of those endings. For example, 2 that I can think of right now would be the end of the Season 4 episode, Author, Author, when Roz takes a photo of Dan, who's tied up on top of the table in the courtroom, and the end of the Season 6 episode, Not My Type, when Dan slips on the courtroom floor, which Art had been buffing all night. And there are many other good Dan-related freeze frame endings besides those, too! I've wanted to ask you this for a couple of days, now, and also, I think that the song, Freeze Frame, by The J. Geils Band, would fit this kind of post perfectly. What do you think about this idea?

Hi Cacilie! I love that idea, Night Court has the best freeze-frame endings especially Dan’s lol. Next time I’m editing or making gifs I’ll see if I can put together a compilation!

Hi, Emily, this is Cacilie again! I really wanted to say how very, very amazed I am about the special video creation you've made for John Larroquette's 77th birthday, which is today, and am flabbergasted that you managed to include every one of his TV and movie roles in it! Doing that must've taken you an awful long time! But the final result is incredibly well done, and going by all the other John - related videos I've enjoyed watching on here that have been made by you, I think this one, this amazing 77th birthday video, is your absolute masterpiece! I have a strong feeling that you'd agree with that opinion! Wow, just wow! You always make really well done and nice video creations, but THIS one is the very best, I think! I could say more, but... "I can't go on, I'll go on." ;-) ....Better stop now! :-)

I really love the short Night Court/Dan Fielding - related video you created and posted on Tumblr yesterday, about how horny/nasty/slutty Dan was on the original series! I think you really have a talent for creating really, really well-done videos related to John Larroquette, Night Court in general, and Dan Fielding on Night Court! Also, and this is a big also, I never get tired of seeing photos or GIF's/videos on Tumblr, whenever you have posted them, of the ending of the Night Court episode, Author, Author, when Dan is in his underwear, hogtied on the table in the courtroom, and Roz takes a photo of him! Hi, Emily, this is Cacilie again! I really, really love the posts about The John Larroquette Show that you've been making lately. Like I've shared with you before, I was a loyal viewer of TJLS when it was originally airing on NBC, from 1993 to 1996, and also recorded on my VCR a lot, if not all, of those original broadcasts of the show. I probably, somewhere in my house, still have the videotapes that I recorded TJLS on, so if I ever found them again (they've got to be somewhere in my house, since I would NOT have intentionally have gotten rid of them), I'd transfer them to many homemade DVD's, using my videotape-to-DVD recorder/player I have. Also, I like the working title of TJLS, Crossroads, a lot better than what the title turned out to be. John did not want his name in the title of the show, but NBC insisted, probably to capitalize on John's Night Court/winner of 4 Emmys in a row fame. I always look forward to the Night Court and John Larroquette-related posts you make on Tumblr, Emily, and they always surprise me, or unlock a memory in me, or both, plus, they're really well done!:-) From Cacilie

Thank you Cacilie!! This is such a kind message, thank you for making my night. I’m really enjoying TJLS so far—I’m only about halfway through the first season, I’m taking my time because I don’t want to finish it too soon, but I love the humor and the characters. And it’s very special to me personally to see a show that centers alcoholism and recovery/sobriety the way it does (while being so funny too). I plan to keep posting about it and NC and John for quite a while :)

I agree with you (and John lol), Crossroads would’ve been a great title, it’s much better. It was definitely to capitalize on his success and name recognition but I’ve never understood the trend of naming shows after the actor. Especially when he’s got a different name than the character lmao
