Cacoa is doing great! Cone will remain on until she's healed, and she's been doing well there. No infection or iritation, she's got a strong healthy appetite, and plenty of energy. Thanks to said appetite, I'm able to give her the pain med with ease. I just mix the liquid med into her wet food, a very small pinch of Benefiber (something a vet suggested years ago for Jasper), and add in some kibble to stretch the can. Y'all...she ate two meals worth in an hour. Putting on needed weight is not a problem.

She also scooped up a bunch of clumped litter and got it stuck in the edge of her cone. I removed thr cone and had Bubby give her lots of love while I clean it up. 10 minutes of love in the form of petting and scratching because the poor girl can't do that on her own. She was absolutely thrilled...until I put the cone back on her. Oh, she didn't get verbally upset...just walked with her head and tail down.

Cacoa's cone will be coming off on Wednesday of healing continues to go well. She's put on, istg, at least one solid pound of weight. They want her back to 10 lbs, which is looking very possible now. Woot! Her fur is looking great only because i'm giving her daily baths with Skout pet wipes and frequent brushing. I think I found another cat yesterday within all the fur she's shedding.

In a month or two, she'll be going in for her annual vaccinations. We'll get a full checkup then, including her weight.

Oh, she has slowed down her eating. Likely due to no longer starving herself and finally feeling full.
