Snapshots - Mistery In Singapore
Its only been a little over two weeks since I moved up to Singapore for a couple of months for work, and already I’ve met a bunch of people, done a bit of painting, and seen some great artwork here amongst the Singapore graffiti scene.
Amongst all this, I was blessed to meet the renowned DCA/TFC alumni, Mistery – not only a damn talented artist, but a damn nice guy to boot. Mistery was actually up here at an event called Project Hip Hope in KL, but he had a chance to get down to SG for a few days amongst it all.
On the Thursday night, headed down to Haji lane last week to check out a small show he put on, A Gallery Far Far Away, at CAD cafe, where he paid homage to a bunch of mad characters from the SW universe – he also had the opportunity to do a bit of a paint on one of the walls in the laneway.
On the weekend, myself and up and comer Daiso had a chance to get down to the Rail Corridor, one of Singapores few (but awesome) legal spots for a bit of a spray.
Afterwards, we got down to Black Books for the regular Graff Fight event, though we were a little late, we hung out for a bit, got some food and packed it in for the day.
I got a bunch of shots from it all as well – apologies for the terrible quality of the exhibition shots, I aint no David Russell, and yeah, damn, I need a good flash. Farkit haha. Oh yeah, and if you’re in Singapore, you can still grab some of this artwork from CAD – its amazingly better than the shots.
