Next to the border to Spain is a small town named Cadaqués. As you can hopefully see from the photos below, it is a lovely, picturesque place. Sorry if some seem redundant, I couldn’t choose which I liked best. While their, our friend Candace, introduced us to an ex-patriot artist, Beverly Fettig, who rents her amazingly cute place on AirBNB. Pictures of her home, which was at various points lived in by Dali’s secretary, Robert Descharnes, and Kirk Douglas, are below, but don’t do justice to the unique character of such an old home. It’s one of the older ones in town, in fact.

Speaking of artists, many artists have stayed in Cadaqués over the years to capture some of its grandeur, “including Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, Marcel Duchamp, Richard Hamilton, Albert Ràfols-Casamada, Antoni Pitxot, Henri-François Rey, Melina Mercouri and Maurice Boitel also spent time here. Cadaqués is mentioned in the story “Tramontana” by Gabriel García Márquez.” (From Wikipedia).
