Cadhla was not always solitary. In fact, for most of her life, she stayed with her family, as most selkies do. There is, after all, safety in numbers.

Although most assume selkies to be of Seelie courts, a good deal of them are not and Cadhla’s pod was Unseelie. The stories of her kind make them out to be kind and helpful, their more malicious and vindictive nature unknown to most mortals anymore.
